Digital Citizenship tip of the week:  Kids these days are big consumers of news. Unfortunately, many of them can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.   A new report released last week by Common Sense Media may help navigate the conversation about real vs. fake news:  http://bit.ly/CSMfakenews.

WHS Library, Chrome, and Canvas Corner Canvas :   Parent/Guardian Parent Night:   Parents and guardians are invited to a  Canvas Parent Night  at  Sunset High School on Monday,  February  26 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm  for a slice of pizza, and time to learn about Canvas, our Learning Management System (LMS).  Come explore  how to navigate Canvas and see how teachers who are using Canvas post assignments, give feedback, and communicate with students.  You will have an opportunity to create your own Parent/Guardian Canvas account. Free Tutoring & Resume Help for Anyone with a WCCLS library card The Beaverton City Library offers trained volunteer Homework Helpers ( http://bit.ly/wcclshomework ) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. We do recommend that students call the Teen Desk at 503.350.4001 to check ahead for availability. Additionally , through the Washington County Cooperative Library Services, we also offer Brainfuse , a free live tutoring service ( http://bit.ly/wcclshelpnow ). LIVE online tutoring help from 1 to 10pm daily: Simply select your grade and subject and chat live with someone to get homework help. Writing Lab : Submit papers and get writing feedback (generally) within 24 hours. SkillSurfer: This resource provides access to study materials including practice tests, flashcards and test prep materials .
