WHS Library, Chrome, and Canvas Corner

Canvas and Chromebooks:  We are thrilled to announce that all students who will be returning to Westview next school year will be able to keep their Chromebooks over the summer!  This decision was made to ensure that students will be able to utilize their Chromebooks through the very end of this school year, including finals, and to provide students who would not otherwise have adequate access during the summer with the tools necessary to get online and complete tasks. Students do need to opt-in to the Summer Chromebook program. Click here to find the Parent Letter and Opt-in forms: http://bit.ly/whslibrary2

Library:  The Beaverton School District has been awarded hotspots from the Sprint 1Million Project (more info and forms can be found at:  http://bit.ly/BSDSprint), which will provide free wireless service for up to 4 years to eligible high school students in grades 9-12 who do not have adequate internet access at home.  If you do not currently have reliable internet access at home, you may qualify for this program.  Please send your student to the library to request a permission slip from Ms. Schulz as we are beginning to collect applications for next year.

Digital Citizenship:  The flash of cameras during graduation day ceremonies inevitably leads to online posting of photos.  Have questions about what photos of your child to post online and how to post those photos safely?  Check out this link for helpful tips: http://bit.ly/DCPhotoPosting
