The Beaverton City Library offers trained volunteer Homework Helpers (http://bit.ly/wcclshomework) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. We do recommend that students call the Teen Desk at 503.350.4001 to check ahead for availability.

Additionally, through the Washington County Cooperative Library Services, we also offer Brainfuse, a free live tutoring service (http://bit.ly/wcclshelpnow).

  • Writing Lab: Submit papers and get writing feedback (generally) within 24 hours.
  • SkillSurfer: This resource provides access to study materials including practice tests, flashcards and test prep materials. This includes AP courses, and the SAT/ ACT!

Washington County Cooperative Library Services, also offers JobNow, a free service with live tutors that help with resume writing, career exploration, and job searches.

Digital Citizenship

Learning how to fact check websites, emails, and other content on the internet is an important skill for all digital citizens.  Common Sense Media has developed a delightful poster/handout to help.  Click here to view the Legit-o-meter and test it on a few sites with your students.  http://bit.ly/legitometer
