WHS Library, Chrome, and Canvas Corner

Canvas:  As the semester winds down, here is a helpful reminder:  The Beaverton City Library offers
offers trained volunteer Homework Helpers (http://bit.ly/wcclshomeworkon Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. We do recommend that students call the Teen Desk at 503.350.4001 to check ahead for availability. Additionally, through the Washington County Cooperative Library Services, we also offer Brainfuse, a free live tutoring service (http://bit.ly/wcclshelpnow).  Links for Homework Help are always posted on the All Students Canvas page.

Library: WHS students have won the WCCLS Teen Art Contest in the past, please encourage your student to enter their artwork again!  Have them click on this link http://bit.ly/18teenart to enter for a chance to have their original artwork featured across the county during the 2018 Summer Reading program!  Plus, first prize is a $200 Amazon gift card.  Submission deadline is 2/12/18.

Digital Citizenship:  When attempting to determine truth from falsehood online, many of us ask this question:  what have others said on the topic?  Thus, the product review was born.  But how can we determine if the product review is from a real consumer?  The next time you want to validate either a company, or the reviews made about it, try this resource:  http://bit.ly/fakespot18  You'd be surprised how many products fail the test.
